What is Rotary Drum Screen
The Rotary Drum Screen is a filtration device designed to remove suspended solids. The system consists of a main module, a core filtration module, a backwashing system, a drive system, and an automatic control system.
The drum is equipped with easily removable filter screens. It is primarily used for advanced municipal wastewater treatment and renovation, water recycling and reuse, and industrial wastewater treatment.
Working Principle:
The rotary drum screen microfilter operates as a continuous filtration system. An automatic switch inside the equipment activates when water enters the drum. A liquid level sensor sends a signal to start the reduction drive system, which rotates the drum, and simultaneously starts the backwashing pump.
Wastewater flows into the hollow drum, which is equipped with high-strength stainless steel screens. The wastewater passes from the inside to the outside of the screen, with suspended solids being captured on the inner surface of the screen. Backwashing water is sprayed from nozzles located at the top of the drum, cleaning the screen from the outside inward. The collected fine particles are gathered in the backwash water collection trough inside the equipment and discharged via a drainage pipe. When there is no water flow, the system automatically stops.
