The plate-and-frame filter press is a sludge treatment device used in wastewater treatment systems. Its function is to dewater the sludge produced after wastewater treatment, forming large filter cakes (sludge cakes) for easy discharge.

The plate-and-frame filter press is composed of five main parts: filter plates, hydraulic system, filter press frame, plate-shifting system, and electrical control system.

The working principle of the filter press is relatively simple: the hydraulic system first applies pressure to tighten the plate and frame assembly. The settled sludge enters from the center and is distributed between the filter cloths. To ensure proper use and management of the filter press, improve product quality, and extend the service life of the equipment, daily maintenance and servicing are essential. Please pay attention to the following points:

Regularly check whether all connecting parts of the filter press are loose; tighten and adjust them promptly if necessary.
Frequently clean and replace the filter cloth. After each operation, remove any remaining sludge in time. Do not allow sludge to dry and harden on the plates, as this may cause leakage during the next use. Regularly clean the water channels and drainage holes to ensure smooth flow.
Regularly replace the machine oil or hydraulic oil, and keep all rotating components well lubricated.
If the filter press will not be used for a long period, apply protective oil for storage. The plates and frames should be stacked neatly in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse, with a stacking height not exceeding 2 meters to prevent bending or deformation.
