How to Install a Filter Press

  1. Design the embedded foundation holes according to the base dimensions provided by the supplier, using the two-stage grouting method.

  2. Ensure there is sufficient space around the filter press for convenient operation, inspection, and maintenance.

  3. The filter press should be placed horizontally on the foundation floor. The rear head plate should be fixed to the foundation using anchor bolts.

Note: Generally, only the rear head plate is anchored. During operation, the tie rods may bend slightly due to the pressure exerted by the plates and frames. When the filter press is tightened, the tie rods straighten and create minor displacement. If both ends are fixed, it may cause improper sealing or even frame damage.

  4. The filter cloth should be selected according to the properties of the material, operating pressure, and temperature, ensuring that the type and specifications are suitable for the process requirements.

  5. Arrange the filter plates and frames neatly on the frame as required, and place the prepared filter cloth evenly on each plate. Make sure the feed and washing holes of adjacent plates are aligned.

  6. Connect the power supply and perform functional checks:

    • For mechanical transmission, verify that the motor’s rotation direction is correct; check that the gearbox and the head oil cup are filled with sufficient oil; and ensure the lead screws and gears are properly lubricated.

    • For hydraulic transmission, check that the gear pump operates smoothly without abnormal noise, ensure there is no leakage in the hydraulic system, and confirm that the piston rod extends and retracts steadily and smoothly.
