Mechanical Bar Screen

The Mechanical Bar Screen is a specialized water treatment device designed for continuous and automatic interception and removal of various debris in fluids. It finds extensive applications in urban sewage treatment, water supply industries, power plant inlets, and serves as a preliminary screening device in wastewater treatment processes for industries such as textiles, food processing, papermaking, and leather. It is one of the most advanced solid-liquid screening devices in China.

Working Principle:

The Mechanical Bar Screen consists of a unique set of rotating rake teeth assembled into a chain. Driven by a motor reducer, the rake teeth chain performs a reverse water flow direction rotary motion. When the rake teeth chain rotates to the upper part of the device, the guiding of the sprocket wheel and curved rail induces relative self-cleaning movement between each set of rake teeth, causing the majority of solid substances to fall by gravity. Another portion relies on the reverse movement of the sweeper to clean the debris adhering to the rake teeth. The gap between the rake teeth assembled on the rake teeth chain axis can be selected according to the operating conditions. After the rake teeth separate the solid suspended matter from the fluid, it ensures unobstructed water flow. The entire process is continuous but can also be intermittent.

Maintenance Management:

a) Regularly remove the debris intercepted by the bar screen. Strengthen inspections during flood seasons, increase the frequency of debris removal to ensure unobstructed water flow.

b) Monitor the operation of the bar screen when in operation, and immediately stop for maintenance if any faults are detected.

c) Timely remove large debris and floating objects encountered before the bar screen to prevent damage to the components.

d) After each maintenance and repair of the bar screen, clean the interior and exterior to keep it tidy.

Maintenance and Care:

a) Keep the bar screen and its surroundings clean.

b) Clean the rear panel of the fine bar screen daily, and clear fiber garbage at the sludge collection port once.

c) Immediately replace the transmission chain blade if breakage is observed.

d) Regularly inspect the bar screen, screw conveyor, and sludge press according to the planned schedule.
