The probability vibrating screen classifies materials using screen apertures that are significantly larger than the target particle size. It consists of a frame, a group of multi-layered screens overlapping each other with increasing slope from top to bottom and decreasing aperture size, and two vibration motors.

The entire unit is mounted on a set of elastic elements. Driven by the vibratory motors, the screen surfaces vibrate at high frequency. The mesh openings are generally larger than the actual separation size. As the material enters the screen, it rapidly disintegrates, which helps eliminate screen clogging caused by near-size particles.
